Tips On How To Increase Your Google Page Rank
 by: Steve Hill

Are you looking into the best ways to increase your Google page rank? If you are, this article will give you some free tips on how to achieve this. I hope you enjoy the read.

There are many webmasters who are looking into ways to increase traffic and on how to obtain a higher page rank for their websites. I myself have many websites which I am always looking to promote.

PPC

Pay per click is where you agree to pay a certain amount of money when people click on an advert that you have created. Programs such as adwords from the search engine Google allow you to place an advert on the right hand side of their search results. Which position you are placed in depends on how much you are willing to spend per click, it is like a kind of auction. Be careful not to spend more on the adverts than you are likely to receive in income. This can be very popular especially if your website is fairly new and is low down in the natural search results.

How To Find The Best Web Hosting For You

Deciding on the best web hosting company for a web site is often difficult if an individual isn’t sure what they should look for in their web hosting company. Examining the promotional material and information of most web hosting services can make choosing the best web hosting service a time consuming challenge. Being aware of what an individual needs from the best web hosting company that will meet every need now and as an individual’s needs can change will help pin down what make the best choices.

Unless an individual has extremely simple needs from a web hosting service, he or she will want to think twice before taking advantage of free web hosting services. If a person needs to be able to have guest books, a counter, polls, shopping cart or any number of other features on their web site, a free web hosting service is not likely to support those needs. Not only can free or super cheap web sites restrict what a person can use on their site, but they also tend to have a number of times when the user cannot access their web site. Sometimes free web hosting does not make the best web hosting company choice simply due to the fact that technical support is insufficient or nonexistent.

STOP Don’t Buy That Web Hosting Reseller Plan!

STOP Don’t Buy That Web Hosting Reseller Plan!
 by: Ian Henman

Before you pay $24.95 a month or more for that reseller web hosting plan, read this article and at least evaluate all of your options. A reseller plan generally offers you more space and bandwidth then a regular shared hosting plan. However one thing to keep in mind that a reseller plan is still a form of a shared hosting plan. It’s not a dedicated server, and there will be other sites on the same IP address and server as yours. So what other alternatives do you have to host multiple sites for one monthly price?

Interesting enough several of the hosting companies that offer these reseller plans are now offering multiple domain name setup on one shared hosting account. What exactly does this mean?

Let’s go through a scenario, you signup for a shared hosting account at Hostgator.com. At the time of writing this article, Hostgator is offering unlimited sites hosted on the 3 larger plans of the four they offer. So once you’re setup you can login to you cpanel, and through their add-on domains/sub domains link you can begin to add two, three, four or more domains to that one account. Is this a possible feature you can take advantage of?

How to Make the Online Sales Copy for Your Website More Conversational

It has been said that the best online sales copy is one that talks to your prospect as if you are in together in a conversation.

But for some of my subscribers to my newsletter, they find it difficult to accomplish. They say that it is hard to "talk on paper". How can this be? My guess is that the training in school did not provide much opportunity to practice on writing a conversational piece of work.

Another guess is that there are tons of articles by copywriting experts on writing screaming headlines but less help is available on how to make the rest of your sales copy sound conversational.

The solution that I propose is to speak to a recorder and have what is recorded transcribed. Having said that, here are 30 short phrases that can possibly help you connect ideas on your sales letter into one flowing conversation:

1. Are you kidding?

2. Just imagine?

3. What does this all mean for you?

4. Don’t you agree?

5. The tip of the iceberg is?.

6. Here is what’s in store for you?

Make your Christmas Shopping Hassle-free

Make your Christmas Shopping Hassle-free
 by: Karen Nodalo

We all know that e-commerce has improved and changed a lot especially that the Christmas season is coming. People are shopping from right to left. Say goodbye to the hassle of the good old days spent in the crowded malls. Imagine the long hours you will be spending in the malls and the thing that you had been eyeing for was gone. This is just so frustrating and tiring but you can’t don anything about it.

But you should not feel hurried because there is a better way to shop without the worries. You can shop online and it is available in any time of the day. The time is your call. You can browse through the Christmas Catalogs to help you with the choices of products.

With the plenty of people in the market, getting the comfort in buying will be hard to handle. Of course, there will be a lot of people on your way and some are too delaying. After an hour of shopping, you will definitely feel exhausted and you will lose that excitement in shopping.

Getting A Website: How To Get A Better Price From Your Web Designer

Getting A Website: How To Get A Better Price From Your Web Designer
 by: Robin Porter

So you have decided you need a website. What next?

Before you contact some web designers to get a quote, you will save yourself time, money and trouble by first sitting down and thinking about what you actually need. The more you can “nail down” your requirements, the more likely you are to get a better price, and not be surprised by getting a bill for extras at the end of the project.

First, think about what you want from your website:

Do you want to sell products online, using a shopping cart and some method of accepting payments?

Do you want your site to be a “static” online brochure, showcasing your products or services?

Do you want your site to generate leads & enquiries for you to follow up directly?

Is your site primarily aimed at providing information for existing customers?

Is your site going to be a useable, interactive service e.g. searchable property database?

How to Create a Great Landing Page for Your Website

The landing page or entry page of your visitors is the most important page to your website. This page is likely to be your home page if you happen to be promoting your website url http://www.yourdomain.com more often than your other sub-directory pages as in http://www.yourdomain.com/sub-directory-page.

Your visitor, who is a very busy individual, is not very likely to stay for more than a minute if you fail to capture his attention once he lands on your website. When your visitor lands on your page, he or she is likely to have the thought "What is in it for me?" You must be able to capture his or her attention on what is immediately visible before he or spends more time browsing your website.

So what information you put above the fold is crucial. Above the fold means what appears on the screen in the browser, without the need for your visitor to scroll down or to the right of your sales page.

Here are 6 easy ways to create and improve on your landing page:

1. Consider having an opt-in box or box to capture your visitor’s email contact on the entry page.

Credit Card Merchant Account Basics

Knowing which credit card merchant account to get can be very confusing. There are thousands and thousands of banks, merchant account providers and third party sales teams that can offer you all kinds of incentives. Billions of dollars are transacted online every year and you want your share. Where do you turn? What do you look for? Read on to find out…

Third party payment processors

The easiest way to accept credit cards online is through a third party payment processor. Companies like Paypal and 2Checkout.com allow you to offer your customers the option of paying by credit card while not having to go through rigorous credit checks or putting down big deposits. Both of these companies include the option of putting a short business name alongside their name of your customers’ credit card bill.

Out of the two, Paypal has no up front setup fee while 2Checkout asks for a one-time $49 USD setup fee. Paypal is also cheaper per transaction. 2Checkout works differently than Paypal does when processing orders.

2Checkout is considered to have purchased your product or service and is simply reselling it to your customer at a profit to them. They will handle the initial customer concerns with regards to the transaction but will refer the product or service specific questions back to you.

Domain Registration - How to Register A New Domain Name for Your Website

Domain Registration - How to Register A New Domain Name for Your Website
 by: Benjamin Chapi

Domain names are site names that provide rememberable names to stand in for numeric IP addresses. Before getting a web site on line you need to have a domain name. These are the familiar web addresses such as yahoo.com that most browsers use to find a particular web site. Domain names, in fact, are pointers to a particular IP address and we use them because they are easier to remember than a series of numbers. The Domain Name System (DNS) is a system that stores information associated with domain names in a distributed database on networks, such as the Internet. The DNS is what makes it possible to attach hard-to-remember IP addresses (such as 193.456.28.8.) to easy-to-remember domain names (such as “web-hosting-guide.org“)

All websites have an IP address in the form 193.456.28.8. The domain name system translates these numbers into names such as google.com. All domain names are registered in a central registry maintained by InterNIC, a subsidiary of ICANN - the organization which certifies domain name registrars. Domain names are filtered through Domain Name Servers (DNS) which link IP addresses with domain names. Each web site usually has a primary and a secondary DNS - duplicates that increase reliability.

Becoming A Website Designer

The ability to create simple, attractive and functional web pages is a highly marketable skill. There is a huge and growing demand for websites and web content, especially for smaller organizations who often can’t afford to hire a full-service web design firm.

Readers often ask me whether it’s necessary to take expensive web design courses or to learn HTML right away to get started in this niche. Is there a cheaper way of learning these skills?

If I were in your shoes, my best investment would be to learn how to use a popular and well-supported website creation software package.

Notice that I said "popular and well-supported." There are plenty of What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) web page creators out there that allow you to cut-and-paste and drag-and-drop your way to create simple, effective websites.

For instance, you could check out programs such as the 123 WysiWyg HTML Editor at http://www.123wysiwyg.com

Mozilla Composer is an HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) editor that allows you to create and edit web pages. Check it out at http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/

Easy Web Editor (http://www.easywebeditor.com/ ) is another low-cost option under $100.
